This is the 4th edition of our festival, for the last three consecutive years, what was started as a modest and humble gathering event we are happily and proudly blossoming into one of the city’s annual not-to-be-missed art and cultural scene. We couldn’t have done it without you!

 

With the theme of “YOUTH ATTACK” we are bringing you the youthful force and spirit remains under the much colorful umbrella of sexual diversity as well as HIV and AIDS in the forms of various art and cultural media in various spots around our lovely city.

 

Cerita Dari Jogja in the latest omnibus installment from the 4 Fabulous Women Directors of Chant of Lotus (Perempuan Punya Cerita) set as the perfect example how Young People even in the luxury of urban environment got confused and have no say whatsoever in the decision making over their own life and their own body-especially when it comes to sexuality. Therefore, we select it as our Opening Film and special screening program with meet the women behind this film’s success. It is about time for us to stop denying the facts under the taboo and controversial argument and start the discussion and interaction around the unfairly judged sexual diversity issues.

 

From April 20th-26th, 2008, it is going to be a full week of International Film Screenings, SpeakOUT forums where you get to actually speak up your mind, QLIT (Queer Literature) and Painting exhibition and of course the fabulous fun of Opening, Closing and Queer Karaoke Party! There is always something for everyone.

 

Finally, we would like to dedicate this festival to all of you who had been there with us along the way. The one worked so hard without any material and financial contribution but still passionately delivered. Thank you for all your love, spirit, enthusiasm, generous support and faith in this festival. We will NOT be here today if it wasn’t for you.
